Sharks in the Pool! {{Kid’s Corner Friday}}

IMG_1551

To add some excitement to our backyard kiddie pool, I decided to throw a few sharks in!  {Balloon sharks of course!} (:  These “balloon” sharks are simple to make and my kids loved the activity that went with them!

Start out my blowing up balloons of various colors.  I did two pink ones for my little girl and two blue ones for my little guy.  {You could definitely blow up more if you think your older kids could handle it.  For my toddlers, 2 were plenty of a challenge!}  Now, using your best artistic skills, draw some shark faces on each of the balloons.  {This definitely tested my art abilities! (: }

Next, give your kiddos the rules:  The player who squashes {and pops} all of their sharks first is the winner!

This activity definitely kept them busy!  Boy were those sharks hard to squash!  In the end, I think the fingernails were brought out, but the sharks were not longer invading the pool! (:

What fun activities do your kiddos like to play in the pool?  All of our afternoon activities have to involve water since it is 90+ degrees outside so we’re ready for some more fun ideas!!

Plus, I love your little girl's bathing suit! So cute! :)

This is such a fun and simple idea, yet my kids would think I was the coolest mom EVER if/when I do this! I featured this on my blog today so my readers could enjoy it as well!

Lovely idea!

My girls play their own mermaids and dolphins game in the pool - keeps them amused for hours - much longer than any pool toys we have!
Can't beat imagination!

Thanks for linking to a Round Tuit!
Hope you have a great week!
