{Home Sweet Home} Pumpkin

IMG_2545

I have a SUPER easy fall idea for you today…it seriously took me about 10 minutes to make.  I {HEART} quick crafts!

I bought this cute little fake pumpkin at our home improvement store today for $2.99.  It was on clearance since Halloween is just around the corner.

Using a Cricut or Sillouette, cut our your vinyl and weed it.  {This was definitely the most complicated step in the process since the pieces in the scroll design were so little….we crafters are so persistent! :) }

Using transfer tape, apply the design to the center of your pumpkin.

And you’re done!  I told you it was an easy one! ;)  I think I’ll spray a thin coat of sealant over it before I store it for next year to ensure that none of the vinyl comes off.  I LOVE the way it dresses up the top of our entertainment center!

Fall Décor: Message In A Bottle

It is no secret, I am in LOVE with decorating for Fall & Halloween!  This is my newest creation and wanted to share it with you.  It is so simple and looks fantastic on my fireplace.

October 039

Materials Needed

  • Brown bottles {mine were recycled IBC root beer bottles}

October 017

  • Vinyl lettering
  • Wheat or Prairie grass
  • Krylon Glitter Spray {optional}

The Steps:

  • Wash & dry your bottles

October 032

  • Cut out your vinyl, making sure the size of your letters will fit on your bottles.  I used my cricut to cut my vinyl & used white vinyl.
  • Apply the vinyl to the bottles.

October 034

  • Add your grass or wheat.  I happen to LOVE anything with sparkles, so I gave my grass a shot or 3 (: of glitter spray!  I {heart} this stuff!

October 035

That is is!  So easy…yet the perfect addition to your Fall décor!

Halloween & Fall Block Ideas & Guest Posters

If you follow me on Pinterest, you’ll know I’m in LOVE with all of the 2x4 crafts out there.  I’m always amazed with the many possibilities of a 2x4…most involving just paint, vinyl, and some Mod Podge.  How fun and easy to turn scraps of wood into something amazing!

Today I’d like to share with you some of my favorite Halloween and Fall block ideas.  I’m inspired by simply writing this post and hope you are too! :)

These Halloween blocks from Poppies at Play are amazing!  I LOVE LOVE how they stack on top of each other in such a unique way!  And what makes this tutorial even better is that it comes complete with a printable so we don’t have to search for coordinating Halloween paper.

These blocks from Mommy Misfit turned out adorable and I love the fact that you could leave them out through the entire fall season.

These fall pumpkin blocks from Today’s Fabulous Finds are so fun and would be a perfect addition to any mantle or bookcase!  I LOVE how she sanded the edges down so they’re not perfectly straight.

I LOVE LOVE these boo blocks from Jamie at The Crafting Chicks.  They are so simple and so cute!

Under My Umbrella crafted this cute 2x4 pumpkin!  Her tutorial is so easy to follow and looks amazing!

So, which one is your favorite?

And…

We’re looking for guest posters interested in sharing a fall or Halloween craft tutorial on our blog.  Let us know if you’re interested! :)
