I have been using an old dry erase board for my menu & decided it was time to upgrade. Especially since my daughter loves to color on it with dry erase markers & accidently grabbed a permanent marker instead! OOPS!
I have seen a lot of people use picture frames and put fabric behind the glass for color. This was a very cute idea, but I didn’t want to have to spend the money on fabric. So, I was at Hobby Lobby ***My favorite craft store*** and stumbled upon a 12x12 frame. I instantly knew this was the perfect frame for my project, especially since scrapbook paper would fit perfectly behind it.Supplies You Need:
- 12x12 picture frame
- Scrapbook paper
- Vinyl (if desired)
- Magnets (if desired)
I thought about just writing on the board with dry erase marker, but decided it would look even cuter with vinyl! **I buy all my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl, they are an amazing company to work with**
I cut my vinyl with my Cricut and my Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software, using black vinyl.
I hot glued magnets on the back so that it would stick to my refrigerator…
TaaDaa……it turned out so cute! I even put St. Patrick’s paper behind the glass and plan on changing it to Easter colors as soon as April rolls around!
You could also just use this board as a board to write notes on….
