We are starting a NEW Friday event called….Kid’s Corner Friday!!!  We are so excited for this!!!  In our Kid’s Corner Friday, we will have kid’s crafts, kid’s recipes and so much more just for kids!!! Stay tuned every Friday to see what we have created for the special little cuties in our lives!!!

Macaroni & Cheese and Octopus

meatballs 009

I have seen this idea here and there online and have been wanting to try it for awhile now!!!  This is now the ONLY way my daughter wants to eat hotdogs!  She actually eats the octopus hotdogs leg by leg…..so cute!!

You can do a GIANT octopus, but I have found that it is easier to make smaller ones….and easier to eat!  So, cut your hotdog in half.

Using a sharp knife, cut the 8 legs, leaving a 1/4 of the top of the hotdog for the head.  {{I cut the legs into 4’s and then cut each in half, making 8 legs}}

Place the hotdogs in a pan of water and boil until hotdogs are cooked through.  The legs will spread out as they cook.

To make them even more real looking, I used a toothpick & ketchup and drew on a ketchup face!

I hope your little one enjoys these as much as mine did!

SO cute! My daughter would love this! I have seen it before with the macaroni tinted blue with food coloring to look like the ocean :)

But IDK, blue macaroni looks kind of creepy to me! LOL!

We do this every year for Halloween...except we put the octopus in chicken noodle soup to cook & call it octopus stew! My kids love it. :)
