Can you believe it? It is already Wednesday again….and time for another What I Made Wednesday Linky Party! To start off the party, I would like to feature a couple of crafty additions to our last weeks party! They were all AMAZING….if only I could feature them all!!
Rambling Reed came up with an oh so adorable wreath! I want to make it right NOW and put it up it is that cute!!
Living Craftily Ever After whipped up some darn cute baby booties! She did a giveaway for the pattern & surprise, surprise….I didn’t win! But I LOVE these booties so much I will be buying the pattern to make some shoes for my little guy!
Now on to the What I Made Wednesday Party…..
{{The Details}}:
{{What I Made Wednesday}} will be open Wednesday – Friday. Next Wednesday we will feature some of our favorites from this week's party as well as host a new {{What I Made Wednesday}}!

| You'll need a solid colored t-shirt. I got mine from the craft section at Wal-Mart. They are super cheap & wash great. Measure the area so you know how big to make your design. |

| Using your software that comes with your Silhouette design your t-shirt. To save space I broke up my pictures & words, and pieced them together later on the t-shirt. Important: Make sure you flip your words so they appears backwards! (I hadn't flipped mine yet when I took this picture!) |

| You'll need a roll of smooth heat transfer material. This can be purchased online on several different websites. I just searched until I found the best price. |

| You'll need to feed the heat transfer material into the Silhouette without a cutting mat and with the clear plastic side on the bottom. This is important. You can double check by peeling back a corner of the transfer material. |

| Use the blue cap and a thickness of 16-18 to cut your transfer material. I would do a test cut just to make sure. I cut mine a little too deep. It still worked out OK, but it would of been better to test first! |

| Peel the negative space of the design off the plastic backing, leaving just what you want on your t-shirt. |
 |
| Place a cloth over your design. (I used a pillowcase.) |
 |
| Place the hot iron on top, pressing firmly onto the design for about a minute. Repeat the process until the entire design has been done. Important: Do not set your iron to more than 300 degrees (cotton setting). |

| Remove the iron & cloth and gently peel up the transfer sheet. Do this carefully! If the heat transfer material continues to stick to the transfer sheet, replace the cloth and iron again. (I had to do mine a couple of times before mine decided to stick!) |

| Now you are done! To wash I turned the shirt inside out & then hung it to dry. It washed perfectly. |

I recently had the honor to be a guest poster over at Craft-O-Maniac! Thanks again Jen for having me!! In case you missed my post, here is my tutorial.
First you’ll need to get a 2x4. The biggest reason I love this project is because of the price…if you don’t have a 2x4 lying around your garage they are so inexpensive to buy!
Cut your blocks into the following lengths:
First Letter of last name - 8”
Last portion of last name - 8”
Established date - 6”
Then, using an electric sander, sand the edges until they are rounded and smoothed. {You could definitely do it by hand if you’re so inclined!}
Now for the paint! I decided to start by painting my sanded blocks brown, knowing that the majority of the front surface would be covered with scrapbook paper. {And, I finally found a use for those frequently purchased diaper boxes! =) }
After the paint has dried completely it’s time for Mod Podge!! {I heart you Mod Podge!!!}
Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the front of the block and smooth down your coordinating paper precut to the dimensions of the front of the block.
I don’t wait for the first layer of Mod Podge to dry, I immediately coat the top of the scrapbook paper with another thick layer of Mod Podge. {Pretty sure I’m not following the Mod Podge directions but it all turns out okay!} I like to see the brush strokes, so I add quite a bit! Using an old credit card, or something similar, smooth out any excess bubbles. As it is drying, it will seem to bubble slightly. **Don’t stress…they seem to flatten out as it dries!**
I like the rustic look, so using sand paper, I roughed up the edges and took some of the paint off of the edges. Now it’s time for the vinyl! Using my Sure Cuts A Lot 2 software and my favorite font, Larger Mine, I cut out the letters using my Cricut. {What did I ever do without you Sure Cuts A Lot!?!?! SO much easier!} I apologize, but I don’t have any pictures of this step.
Now stack your blocks and you’re finished!
